What is Ujjala?
Ujjala means ‘bright’ or ‘light’ in Sanskrit. Ujjala is a project initiated by Little India Business Park Association Inc. which is all about brightening and lighting up the Little India Precinct through different creative aspects.
Where is Ujjala?
Ujjala is all throughout the LIHPBA Little India Precinct with many businesses taking part in the festivities of brightness throughout 2023 and 2024.
When is Ujjala?
Ujjala is not one specific event. Its a year long project that has multiple events, celebrations and performances held over 2023 and 2024. You can keep up to date with whats on via our Facebook page.
Little India Harris Park Business Association (LIHPBA), established in 2015, is a not-for-profit organisation that gives exposure, not only to the creative arts of the Indian sub-continent, but also highlights the business interests of the Harris Park and Parramatta areas. LIHPBA works with various organisations to promote and propagate for the multicultural mix to promote Little India as a noted precinct of Arts & Culture nationally and internationally. LIHPBA's efforts have been rewarded with massive media coverage over the 2023 Prime Minister Modi visit to the LGA and several events launched and supported by the Federal, State and local Government. LIHPBA has truly put Little India Harris Park on the international map, thereby creating leverage for our partnering businesses. LIHPBA's strategic vision goes to establishing solid, ongoing National and International linkages for its partners and playing a key role in the Australia/India bi-lateral agreements as acknowledged by the Australia India Business Council Chair (AIBC), Irfan Malik and CEO of the Centre for Australia India Relations, Tim Thomas.
